I didn't have turkey. Actually that's a lie, I had turkey last night and I even have some for lunch today. Pretty good. Most people would say that a turkey is very dry. Most of the time it is, but hello, that's what gravy's for.
I love thanksgiving dinner. I always look forward to the mashed potatoes and scallop mushrooms. (it's not scallops on top of a mushroom. it's actually mushrooms stuffed with Parmesan cheese. really really good.)Anyways, then there's also the ham and rice. Always have to have rice in a Filipino meal. I don't think I ate too much this turkey season. Maybe I did and I just don't know it. I had a bowl of ice cream though. And 4 bowls of a Filipino dessert called Mais Con Yello. It's really really good. Other than that, it was pretty much the same Turkey day as always. Gather at my relatives house and eat. Take care of the littles one and hog the computer. That's pretty much it. This is a really short post. I don't like it. It's about food, I should be able to make this a really long blog. After all, I am trying to become a chef. I think when it comes to turkey, i like the skin to crispy. But not too crispy. And the turkey always has to have gravy. There's a certain mashed potatoe that I like, but any mashed potatoe is good for me. The ham has to be sweet and tender. And the rice is rice. Actually, I didnt have rice this time. Interesting. The scallop mushrooms were amazing though. I should try and make it to see if people would like it. You know, I should really start cooking at home. I need to practice and put my skills to good work. The good thing about me and cooking is that I'm a fast learner and I'm also a visual learner. The reason why I know a lot about cooking at a young age is cause of the Food Network.
That just reminded me of a recipe for mashed potatoes. Hmm, i'm hungry now.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
